Welcome
Welcome to The Eagle’s Perch, a new student-run school newspaper for Dobbs Ferry High School. You may remember us from last year when we were an independent news source. We are now proud to announce that we have partnered with the school to become the official newspaper of Dobbs Ferry High School.
Our Story
When we first launched The Eagle’s Perch, our mission was to offer a fresh, student-driven perspective on local news, community or school events, and more. Despite initial challenges and starting as an independent newspaper, our commitment to delivering content showed the school that this idea was not only feasible but a perfect fit for Dobbs Ferry High School. We are very excited to announce that The Eagle’s Perch has now been officially adopted by the school. This academic year we will be working closely with the administration to make The Eagle’s Perch a school paper that will last for years in the future.
Our Vision
This transition is more than just a change in status – it’s a testament to the dedication of the students who made the paper. We are proud to be recognized as the future voice of our student body and excited about the opportunities that come with this new responsibility. Our original vision remains unchanged – we want to be a reliable source of communication for the student body. Our virtual newspaper will be easily accessible to everyone and offer a variety of coverage. Students will have the opportunity to produce original content or just read other people’s entries. Members will be in direct contact with the administration, creating a new system of communication between the administration and the students of Dobbs Ferry High School.
We hope that you’ll join us at The Eagle’s Perch, either as a viewer or a contributor, and we look forward to creating content by the students, for the students.
